This year marks the 1oth anniversary of our feature doc "A Film About Coffee" directed by Brandon Loper. We figured, what better way to celebrate the milestone than to revisit one of the primary destinations in the film–Tokyo–to document how specialty coffee has evolved there 10 years on?
Catching up with a few of our favorite Tokyo coffee people and meeting some new ones, we reconnected with the unique spirit of the city through the small, special moments that emerge from their intense, joyful dedication to craft. Each café, kissaten, and roaster we visited was a gem in it's own right and we're excited to share a special Tokyo update to A Film About Coffee soon.
